The UFP-20 is an advanced digital water leak detection system combining acoustic amplification with digital signal processing (DSP) to filter out background noise and enhance leak signal clarity. Compared to analogue ground microphones, the UFP-20 uses digital frequency analysis to display the leak noise spectrum, allowing the operator to identify the frequency band with the highest leak-to-noise ratio and improve detection accuracy in noisy urban environments (heavy traffic, underground infrastructure).

A standard acoustic detector gives audio output only — the operator relies on hearing. The UFP-20 adds a visual spectrum display that shows the leak frequency signature versus background noise, making detection possible in high-noise environments (busy roads, market areas) where audio alone is unreliable. This reduces false-positive excavations significantly.
