The U Box Apparatus is used to evaluate the passing ability and filling capacity of Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) under its own weight. It helps assess the ability of fresh concrete to flow through reinforcement without segregation or blockage.

The apparatus consists of a U-shaped chamber divided into two vertical sections by a movable gate. One section is filled with fresh concrete, and after lifting the gate, the concrete flows into the second section. The difference in concrete height between the two compartments is measured to determine the passing ability of the mix.

Manufactured with robust steel construction and smooth internal surfaces, the U Box ensures repeatable results and easy cleaning. It is widely used in quality control laboratories, R&D facilities, and academic institutions involved in SCC testing.
