This equipment is used to determine the air content of freshly mixed concrete. The apparatus consists of a pressure-tight, flanged cylindrical measuring bowl, designed to withstand test pressure while ensuring accurate and repeatable results.
The measuring bowl is fitted with a removable flanged conical cover assembly, sealed with a durable gasket to ensure leak-proof operation. The conical cover is equipped with an air valve and a petcock for controlled bleeding of water during testing.
A transparent, graduated cylindrical stand pipe, calibrated to directly indicate air content, is securely fixed to the conical cover assembly. Pressure is applied to the concrete specimen using a pressure bulb, and the applied pressure is accurately indicated on a pressure gauge mounted on the stand pipe.
