The Proceq GP8000 Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a handheld concrete scanning tool that uses high-frequency radar pulses to detect objects embedded in concrete — including rebar, post-tension cables, conduits, utility pipes, and voids — without any drilling or coring. Used for safe concrete cutting and coring (to avoid striking live tendons or cables), structural investigation, void and delamination detection in floors and decks, and utility mapping. Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a non-destructive testing technique that uses electromagnetic radio wave pulses to detect objects, voids, and changes in material properties below the surface of concrete, pavements, and ground. When radar pulses hit a boundary between materials of different electrical properties — rebar in concrete, a void below a slab, a utility pipe under a road — they reflect back to the antenna, and the system maps the depth and position of these features in real time.
