How Profometer Works

Profometer PM8000 Lite uses the eddy current (electromagnetic induction) principle. When the probe is moved across the concrete surface, the instrument detects the change in magnetic field caused by underlying steel reinforcement. The microprocessor calculates cover depth and bar diameter from this change.
