The Pipe and Cable Locator is an electromagnetic detection system used to locate and trace buried metallic pipes, electrical cables, and telecom conduits before excavation — preventing accidental utility strikes that cause service outages, injuries, and costly repairs. The transmitter applies a signal to the buried utility, and the receiver detects the resulting electromagnetic field above ground, indicating the line position and depth.

Modes of Operation

Signal induction: Transmitter placed on ground above utility — no physical connection needed. Passive: Detect live power lines using their natural 50 Hz emission.
