Dowel Bar Scanner (Walking Type) is a laser-guided, rail-free NDT system for rapid inspection of dowel bar depth, lateral offset and tilt in PQC pavement joints. No track setup needed — scan a joint in under 3 minutes. ASTM E1742 compliant, ideal for NHAI highway QA/QC.
The Dowel Bar Scanner (Walking Type) is a laser-guided, rail-independent non-destructive testing device for rapid on-site assessment of dowel bar position, depth, tilt, and lateral shift in concrete pavement joints. Unlike the rail-guided SCAN2-BT, this walking system requires no track setup, making it faster to deploy on live highway projects.
The operator walks the scanner across the pavement joint along the laser-defined path. Internal electromagnetic sensors detect individual dowel bars and record positional data. Results are displayed instantly on the integrated screen and stored for reporting.
Compliant with ASTM E1742, EN 12697-47, IRC:SP:62.
