Cement Cube Mould — Plastic / Polyurethane

The Plastic (Polyurethane) Cement Cube Mould is used to cast 70.6 mm × 70.6 mm × 70.6 mm cement mortar cube specimens for compressive strength testing of cement as per IS 4031 Part 6, IS 650, and BS EN 196-1. The PU construction provides corrosion-free, chemically inert moulds that are lighter and easier to handle than traditional cast iron versions, while maintaining dimensional accuracy for certified testing.

Cement Cube Test Procedure

Standard 1:3 cement–sand mortar is prepared, filled in two layers (each compacted), and covered. After 24 h, cubes are demoulded and cured in water at 27 ± 2°C. Compressive strength is tested at 3, 7, and 28 days. Minimum 28-day strength: 33 MPa (OPC 33 Grade), 43 MPa (OPC 43 Grade), 53 MPa (OPC 53 Grade).
