Roughometer-4 vehicle-mounted IRI measurement system for road surface roughness surveys at normal driving speed. GPS-integrated, 0–16 m/km range. Per ASTM E1926 and IRC SP:16. JS Civil Lab Solutions India.
The Roughometer-4 is a vehicle-mounted road roughness measurement system that records the International Roughness Index (IRI) of pavements at normal driving speed. A single-axis accelerometer mounted on the vehicle body measures vertical accelerations, and the onboard processor converts the signal to IRI (m/km) using the quarter-car simulation model.
JS Civil Lab Solutions supplies the Roughometer-4 for highway agencies, NHAI contractors, PWD divisions, and pavement management consultants conducting network-level IRI surveys.
Pre- and post-construction roughness surveys for NHAI, highway concession projects (BOT/HAM), pavement maintenance programming, and overlay design trigger-value mapping per MoRTH guidelines.
