The CBR Mould is used to prepare soil specimens for the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test as per IS 2720 Part 16 and ASTM D1883. It consists of a cylindrical steel mould, a detachable base plate, a collar extension, and a perforated base plate for soaking. The CBR value determines the load-bearing capacity of subgrade and sub-base soils for road and pavement design.
