Original Schmidt OS8000 by Proceq — the digital evolution of the classic Schmidt hammer. Measures Q-value (coefficient of restitution) for direction-independent concrete strength estimation 10–100 MPa. Bluetooth, 3,000-result storage, Silver Schmidt App. EN 12504-2 / ASTM C805. Supplied by JS Civil Lab Solutions with calibration certificate.
Model No: OS8000
The Original Schmidt OS8000, manufactured by Proceq, is the next-generation digital rebound hammer designed for precise assessment of concrete strength and uniformity. Built on advanced rebound hammer technology, the OS8000 provides highly reliable strength correlation, making it a trusted instrument for structural engineers, quality control labs, and on-site inspection teams.
This model offers instant digital readings, seamless wireless connectivity, and real-time report generation through an intuitive mobile interface—ensuring faster decision-making during inspections. Its rugged design, consistent impact energy, and smart data capture make it ideal for both laboratory and field environments.
Whether for structural audits, QA/QC testing, or routine condition assessments, the OS8000 delivers unmatched accuracy, convenience, and efficiency in concrete evaluation.

Principle: A spring-controlled mass strikes the concrete surface, and the distance it rebounds is measured. Harder, stronger concrete absorbs less energy, resulting in a higher rebound number.
Application:
Estimate Compressive Strength: The rebound hammer measures the surface hardness of the concrete. This hardness, which results in a measured Rebound Number or Rebound Index, is correlated using manufacturer-provided charts or correlation curves to estimate the in-place compressive strength of the concrete. While it is an estimation and not a substitute for core testing, it provides a quick, convenient measure.
Assess Uniformity and Quality: By taking readings across a structure (like a beam, column, or slab), engineers can check for uniformity in the concrete quality. Significant variations in the rebound numbers can indicate areas of poor compaction, voids, or lower-quality concrete, which can be flagged for further, more invasive testing.
