Plastic Cube Mould — Concrete Specimen Casting

The Plastic Cube Mould is used for casting 150 mm × 150 mm × 150 mm concrete cube specimens for compressive strength testing as per IS 516 and IS 456. Made from high-density engineering plastic, these moulds are lighter than cast iron equivalents, resistant to concrete chemical attack, and can be reused hundreds of times when properly maintained. They are ideal for site labs and batch plant QC where weight and portability matter.

Plastic vs Cast Iron Cube Moulds

Plastic moulds are adequate for routine site QC and research; cast iron moulds are preferred for NABL accreditation and government test house use where IS 10086 certification is required. Plastic moulds also reduce risk of operator injury from dropped heavy metal moulds on congested concrete pours.
