Concrete Permeability Apparatus (6 cells) with 0.5 HP compressor for water penetration depth testing of concrete at 500 kPa pressure. IS 456 / EN 12390-8 / DIN 1048 compliant. Complete system with pressure gauges and isolation valves. Supplied by JS Civil Lab Solutions.
The Concrete Permeability Apparatus tests the water permeability of hardened concrete under constant pressure, measuring the depth of water penetration as a key indicator of concrete durability and impermeability. The 6-cell configuration allows simultaneous testing of multiple specimens — ideal for QC labs with high throughput.
Concrete specimens (cylinders or cubes, typically 150 mm dia × 150 mm or 150 mm cubes) are subjected to a constant water pressure of 500 kPa (5 kgf/cm²) for 72 hours. After testing, the specimens are split and the maximum depth of water penetration measured. IS 456:2000 specifies penetration limits for different exposure conditions.
IS 456:2000 Annex A, EN 12390-8, DIN 1048 Part 5.
