RetroSign GRX — Road Sign Retroreflectivity Measurement

The RetroSign GRX is a portable handheld retroreflectometer used to measure the retroreflectivity of road signs, regulatory signs, warning signs, and delineators as per ASTM E1709, AS/NZS 1906, and IRC SP:67. High retroreflectivity ensures that signs remain clearly visible to drivers at night under headlamp illumination — a critical road safety parameter maintained by highway authorities.

Minimum RL Values (IRC SP:67)

Retroreflective sign sheeting minimum initial RL: Class 1 (Engineering Grade) ≥ 70 mcd/m²/lux; Class 2 (High Intensity) ≥ 180 mcd/m²/lux; Class 3 (Diamond Grade) ≥ 250 mcd/m²/lux for white sheeting. The RetroSign GRX identifies non-compliant signs before and after installation.
